What is a ‘Video Profile’?

A ‘Video Profile’ is a short video created by an Employer advertising the vacant role within their Company / Business, or a Video showing what the Company / Business does as a whole.

SERVICE PROVIDED

For Employers / Advertisers / Businesses, you have two options. You can either:

• Upload a ‘Video Resume’ of the ADVERTISED role in your Company / Business or,
• ADVERTISE a role and do a SEARCH for Employees / Candidates all at a very AFFORDABLE price

From the HOME page, select the EMPLOYERS tab which will take you to the EMPLOYER / ADVERTISER REGISTER page as shown below.

To ‘Search for Candidates’, you will first need to have a VISUMÉ account.

If you have an account and you are currently logged into your account, select the ‘ View other Candidates’ option in the ‘MY ACCOUNT’ box to perform a search

EMPLOYERS/ADVERTISERS ACCOUNT

First make sure you have created an account:

• To create an account ? refer to ‘REGISTERING FOR THE FIRST TIME’

If you have an account, you will need to:

• Log into your account - refer to LOGGING INTO ‘MY ACCOUNT’

NOTE: It is advisable that you do take UTMOST CARE in providing any personal details online via your Video or Resume. For the intro of your ‘Video Resume’, we do advise that you use only your FIRST NAME and disclose nothing more. For a contact number, a mobile number will suffice as opposed to a landline number. Any additional personal details provided by YOU (Employee / Candidate) other than the above will be at YOUR OWN RISK as VISUMÉ will take NO RESPONSIBILITY should any issues arise.

• You need to look the part, so, when creating your ‘Video Resume’, you need to treat it as if you were at the final stage of your interview, so dress presentably or professionally in accordance to the job / role your applying for as FIRST IMPRESSIONS counts, so let’s make yours count.
• Your ‘Video Resume’ should be no longer than 2mins keeping it simple and keeping the Employer interested
• Do research on the role and Company / Business as Employers love to see applicants with initiative
• Tailor your video to the job / role you are applying for to show Employers that you are serious about the role
• Do preparation, don't just read of your Resume / CV
• Try and be as genuine as possible making yourself look natural and relaxed in front of the camera
• Remember to SMILE and show some enthusiasm
• Your introduction should be short and sweet
• Be very CAREFUL on the INFORMATION you DISCLOSE on your video as any Employer from one to many can be watching your ‘Video Resume’
• Tell Employers what you can offer in accordance to that role, your experience, qualifications and profession
• Keep your ‘Video Resume’ short, simple and direct to the point of the job / role ? do not go off track
• Either look straight into the camera or do it as an interview in a positive way with pre-selected questions
• Make sure the lighting is right so it comes out clear and sounds clear to anyone listening
• Also make sure you are shooting in a nice quiet area where there is no background noise or movement so the Employer can stay focused on YOU
• For the closing, provide specific steps to Employers on how they can get in contact with you at the end of your video
• Have FUN making your ‘Video Resume’ but also treat it as if you are actual being interviewed face to face ? remember, first impressions count so it’s up to you to make it count
• Always try a practice video first to get feedback and to see what needs improving before uploading your final version onto our website
